Ever get news that you totally didn’t expect and you just sit there for hours wondering how to respond or asking yourself, “Why?” Well, I got some news like that today. Sorry, I have to be political and not give details, but it wasn’t exactly happy news and it took me off guard. Bryan and I talked about the news and it will be fine, no matter what the outcome. We know God is in control and He had our whole lives mapped out for us before we were even born.
Then my sister in law Julie had this quote on her FB and it was so appropriate, I just had to share:
“Even when we cannot see the why and the wherefore of God’s dealings, we know that there is love in and behind them, and so we can rejoice always, even when, humanly speaking, things are going wrong. We know that the true story of our life, when known, will prove to be, as the hymn says, “mercy from first to last” — and we are content” (J.I. Packer, Knowing God).
Please pray for us over the next weeks and months. Just so you’re not concerned: Bryan and my relationship is great and growing stronger with each challenge. We are thankful for supportive friends and family. And we are trusting God not only despite circumstances but because of them.
