Continued from her previous notes found here.
“Which brings me to the next point:
contentment.
“I love beautiful things.
But that gives me no license to covet the things that others have,
or be put out over things I can’t afford
(or spend more than is wise to get them!)
“Let me put it this way–
my focus should be on enjoying things,
not getting things.
“Enjoying the beauty that God
allows me to experience.
“Enjoying His good gifts,
whether the simple, tangy tasty of a fresh apple on a crisp fall day,
or
the extravagant beauty of food and sights on a Mediterranean cruise!
“So in appreciating beauty,
I do not become a snob, wanting nicer and more expensive things,
rather
I become more and more thankful and aware of the beautiful things
that my loving Father provides for me to enjoy.”
