Today’s workout was incredible! 45 minutes of strength training and flexibility.
Here’s what I did:
I started with 10 lb. dumbbells and did about 30 reps per event:
- bicep curls
- one-arm rows
- sword pulls
- tricep extensions
- lateral dumbbell raises
Then I went to the mat and did my floor routine (again, 30 reps each):
- lying chest press (with 10 lb. weights)
- lying dumbbell flys (with 10 lb. weights)
- lying abductions
- lying adductions
- crunches
- side crunches (30 per side)
- reverse crunches
Then I got back up and did a few leg exercises with 10 lb. dumbbells (again, 30 reps per exercise per leg):
- wide leg squats
- forward lunges
Then I did some stretching and finished back at the mat with a yoga cool down:
- 1 minute plank
- 1 minute downward dog
- 30 second upward dog
- 30 second child’s pose
- 3 deep breaths with namaste.
Awesome!
Wow, that sounds like a very efficient and energizing workout. Out of curiosity do you go to a local gym or have a dedicated workout space in your home?
Our office building has a gym in the basement that we can use for free. It’s one of the most under-utilized benefits they offer, but I love it! And I get to watch FoodNetwork and DIY while I exercise! At home, I just roll out a yoga mat in the living room, though I have dreams of a home gym one day!
