Any special plans for you this Valentine’s Day? Since Valentine’s Day is on Sunday this year, I suppose many will celebrate it on Friday or Saturday. I’d love to get up before Bryan on Saturday and make him a nice hot breakfast of cheese grits, fried eggs, bacon, and homemade sourdough toast, but our plans are to go skiing on Saturday, so we’ll be leaving the house around 6AM! I guess I won’t be serving my love breakfast in bed, but this might be a nice alternative for our adventurous day: a protein shake on the go!
I’ve finally figured out my perfect protein shake. Here’s the recipe:
1 frozen banana (peel before freezing)
3 Tbsp. Protein Powder
1 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder (eliminate if using chocolate protein powder)
2 Tbsp. Honey
2 Tbsp. Peanut Butter
8 oz. Low-fat Milk
Blend and enjoy as one of your 5-6 light meals per day!
